What can I do with food scraps that aren’t composted (i.e. cheese, meat)? Does anyone have suggestions?
well, if your city does that they’re obviously doing something wrong and something should be done to raise people’s awareness to it. I’d say, write in, start a petition, if the city is employing an outside contractor who is doing these things to save money something, then raise your voice to point it out. Maybe they’ll replace the company that messes up.

It’s hard to take you seriously with that hair.
I compost but..considering the tons of plastic containers, baby diapers, packaging, broken toys, etc, that go into a landfill, the few rotten banana peels aren’t going to make a difference. They’ll deteriorate immediately. (remember, no grease or meat)
I try to recycle too, (carefully washing my garbage-geez.)..and three times I’ve caught the city throwing the recycling in with the regular trash.
So am I just killing compost worms for nothing? Little sacrifices to ease my comsumer guilt?

The rubbermaid container is used to place compost in for composting at home. I think I would want to place it outside. No matter what your stance is there is nothing wrong with recycling waste. recycling is simply being making the best use of all things.
